中式英語（英文：Chinglish，是「Chinese」和「English」的英文的混成詞）指带有中文语音、语法、词汇特色的英语。中式英語一般用来形容两种不同情况：1）含有语法或拼写错误的英语，常被初级英语的华人使用；2）含有英语词汇的汉语语言转换，比如华裔由于汉语词汇不足当追忆不到适当的汉语词汇时用英语词汇来代替，或特意用英语代替来显示自己的英语水平。
最早期的中式英語應該在香港出現。當時英國強行租借香港島，在貨物起卸區，有不少經常與洋人打交道的人慢慢從洋人口中學得幾個簡單的英文詞語，就用自己的方式把這些剛學會的英語組成字句。這些字句，有不少甚至已經溶入英語之內。(例如：打照呼時說的“Long time no see!”)
以下是一些中式英语的例子（笑死我了，哈哈哈哈）。
- To take notice of safe: The slippery are very crafty. = Be careful, slippery slopes. （小心路滑。）[1]
- To put out Xuanda Expressway(北京四環路). To put in Jingzhang Expressway.（京張高速公路） = Now leaving Xuanda Expressway, now entering Jingzhang Expressway.
- Decimbing path. = Descent. （下坡路。）
- Rain or snow day. Bridge, slow-driving.（下雨或雪天。 桥，慢速行驶。 河北省所有高速公路） = Slow on bridge in case of rain or snow. （在雨天或雪天时过桥请减速行驶。）
- Oil gate. / Into. = Filling station.（加油站。）/ Entrance.（进口。）
- Smoking is prohibited if you will be fined 50 yuan.（字面意义：如果你被罚50元的话吸烟不被允许。） = Smoking is prohibited, penalties for violators is 50 yuan.（不可吸烟，违反者将被罚款50元。）
- Please come down from your bicycle. = Please dismount from your bicycle. （请从您的自行车上下来。）
- If you have trouble ask for the policeman. 或 If in trouble find police = In case of trouble, dial the police.
- Being urgent call 110 quickly. (北京) = In cases of emergency, please call 110. （遇到紧急情况时，请拨打110。110为中國大陸的报警電話）
- Complaining tel.（字面意义：抱怨电话） = Customer service telephone（客户服务电话）.
- When you leave car, please turn off door and window, take your valuable object = Be sure to lock your doors and windows and take all valuables with you.
- Engine room is serious place.（字面意义：机房是严肃的地方） = Engine room: No unauthorised access. （機房重地；重地的意思其實就是閒人免進，只是中文通常都省略了。)
- Don't forget to take your thing. = Don't forget your personal belongings.
- Visit in civilisation, pay attention to hygiene!（字面意义：在文明中访问，对卫生注意！） = Attention to visitors: Be civilised and keep the public places hygiene. (请文明游览，保持环境整洁。)
- Deformed man toilet.（字面意义：变形的人厕所） = Public toilet for the disabled（残疾人厕所）.
- Carefully meet (字面意义：小心翼翼的见面) = Watch your head (小心碰头——注意不要撞到头)
- Crippled restroom. = Public toilet for the disabled（残疾人厕所）.
- When you across hard you can ring TEL (号码).（字面意义：如果你通过艰难你可以响铃电话(号码)。） = In case of emergency, please call (号码). （紧急时请拨打(号码)。）

- Speaking cellphone strictly prohibited when thunderstorm（北京） = talking on cellphones disallowed during thunderstorms
- Fuck food（中國大陸某超市）= 干貨，正確用法應為 "Dehydrate Food" 或 "Dry Foods"。
- 注：“乾”貨原為繁體字之“乾”，简体中简化为“干”，而“干”這字又同時代表“乾”、“幹”二字，而“幹” (干) 字又有性交之意。
- Bake the cell-phone（台南火車站廁所）=烘-手機，正確英文Hand dryer。
- New Open = 新開幕，在台灣常使用，正確的英文應該是now open。
